Question: My boyfriend and I will be in Vietnam for just one week at the end of August. We arrive into HCMC, but would like to travel somewhere along the coast. I'm hoping to stay somewhere relatively cheap... a basic hut/bungalow on the beach. I read that Mui Ne might be a good idea. Do you have any suggestions?

I agree with your choice of Mui Ne Where you can spend a night in Resort from 30usd/nite. It's 200kms far from HCMC and takes about 4 hours by car, or you can get the by train or bus the cost is from 4-10usd.

You should contact a travel agency in Vietnam, the price will be much cheaper because travel agencies always have business contract with the Resorts

Halong : overnight on luxury cruises
Hoi An : Victoria resort or The Nam Hai resort ( from 700usd/nite)

Firstly You should take Hanoi city tour to see daily life and history of Hanoi then Halong Bay 2 days overnight on Luxury Cruise.
For the beach resort : Hoi An : The Nam Hai Resort (1hour flight) Nha Trang : Evason Hideaway Resort (1,5 hour flight) Phu Quoc Island : La Veranda Resort (3hours flight, transit in HCMC. They are all best resorts and exellent services in Vietnam. However the costs are also high, If you let me know which date and how many days you will be in Vietnam I will send you detail prices of these resorts.

Question: We are family of 5 ( 3 growing up children will travel from Canada, we meet up in Saigon on Dec 21st,09 and want to go to NHATRANG and Dalat, we will go back on Dec 30th, 09 Our children love beach.
Can you advice how to have a wonderful holidays, and which Hotel is good to stay.
We have been to Ana Madara before but we find their rates quiet high.

Answer: The first nite in HCMC then fly to Da Lat, 1 night in this city is enough then drive to Nha Trang, Sunrise Nha Trang beach hotel and Spa could be meet your need, the rate is lower than Ana Madara but service is very good, this one is located in the central of the city.
If you would like to escape from the city White Sand beach resort and Spa will be a good choice for both Quality and Price ( from 90 usd up per nite)
