Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province is proposing cannon firing ceremonies each week or month as a special tourism product.
According to Ho Van Nien, Vice Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau People's Committee, the province is compiling the project, under which it will fire cannon to attract foreign tourists who wish to see such a show.
The province proposed to hold the event on a weekly or monthly basis for tourism purposes.
In the region's Festival 2006, such show was organised, recreating historic battles to fight off invaders. The show attracted a large number of tourists.
